Inclusion 1: Evidence of Tax-Exempt Status

Application forms must be accompanied by the organization’s most recent determination letter from the Federal IRS, classifying the applicant organization as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Inclusion 2: Financial Information

All applications must be accompanied by the organization’s most current financial statements, including balance sheet and profit and loss or income statement – audited, if possible.

Deadline for Submissions

The deadline for submission each year is July 1. Applicants may only file for one grant each year. In special situations early grants may be made before the deadline. Once the Foundation’s annual gift requirement has been met (for example through early grants made), no further applications will be accepted.

Notification of Applicants

All applicants will be notified by mail or by e-mail shortly after the July grant review meeting of Officers and Trustees. If an application has been denied, it will not be held over for future reconsideration; a new application must be submitted. Grant checks for approved requests will be mailed out to recipients in August.
